Karawynn Long and Jak Koke have each been poly for almost twenty years and together for the last four of those. Between them they have a wide variety of poly relationship experiences, both successful and not.
Jak kept his polyamorous lifestyle hidden from all but his sweeties and his closest friends until early 2001. Coming out was challenging, but since then he has been much happier not having to live with secrets. By contrast, Karawynn has been almost defiantly out since her late teens, and very publicly so since she first proclaimed her poly affiliation on her web site in 1995.
For a living, Jak edits novels, both freelance and for the small press he and Karawynn co-own. He has written a number of published fiction novels and short stories, about which more detail can be found on his web site. He also sometimes works as a laboratory molecular biologist. Jak has two wonderful daughters who are being raised to believe that honesty is paramount and love is never wrong.
Karawynn lives with Jak and his daughters in Seattle, and both works and plays online. Besides Polyandproud, she publishes speculative fiction novels with Jak via Per Aspera Press and does all manner of freelance design and development projects under the auspices of Viridian City Media. Recreationally, she keeps a personal web site, a blog, and a community discussion board, among other things. She too has written a small assortment of fiction, and may do so again someday.
